It gets lighter when its dark

If You dig deeper it might get hot ...

It's snowing outside and the Swedish melancholic soul starts to wake up. Still living in they grey scale but slowly slowly visualising a lighter environment, that will lift us up to higher former of being ... here ... alive and interplaying with the outside of Self.

Hi, dear Anna. We thought you were in some kind of inactive state. Then you bring us this wonderful flower and a poem, as well.
Let a thousand flowers bloom! And let a hundred viruses vire(or whatever they do).
That is our protolysis.

Glad you are posting again! Does it have to do with your electricity?
Missed your writings!

I am never inactive,
no humans or other
living creatures are.
We just change contexts
for our activities,
now and then :-)

Jeanette
No dear, it has other reasons,
we all live in parallel worlds
and we have to figure out ways
to synchronize those ... and
the other world produce my food

Enjoy your snow Anna-Lys and all of the beauty of that Winter white, for the seasons pass so quickly now, soon it will again be Spring.

I'm sorry I know that Georgia O'Keefes art is well known for its eroticism but this 'Black Iris' reminds me of a chicken waiting to be seasoned for Christmas...yikes I can hear all of the purists booing me in the distance. :D ♡

Hello Anna. Snow & grayness, strangely, that whole scenario
can be a melancholy turn-on
for me. Slowly reading Georgia's
biography, on Sundays afternoon.
Completely mesmerized by her work.
There is an exhibit of her art
here in New York. I will go during
Thanksgiving vaca.

Hello Anna-lys, my friend, a most wonderful post with such feelings.

Here, after a tempestuous spring, summer comes.

Nice to see you in the blogosphere again! :)

You seem to like cold weather. I don't like really cold weather or relly hot weather. I like somewhere in between.

Jag hajade inte rubriken förut. Det står kanske: "Det går lättare, när det är mörkt." Är det rätt uppfattat?

I am not sure that O'Keeffe is known for her eroticism, I have never heard her art been mentioned like that, but as always my dear You take us to new dimensions.
Are You the Swedish Chef here? Are You sure it's not a thanksgiving turkey You have in mind? ;-)

Cynthia
Wish I was theree, I guess it is to celebrate her 122:th birthday on the 15:th of November 2009 - everyone there will get a present that last for a year, don't they?

Charles
I must agree on Your statement, there!

My Northern cousin.
Yes, the Winter landscape brings silence and harmony ... that is IF You are not downtown ;-)

That's the wonder of the Blogoscape -

DeeeeOoooooo
I did a head-merry-go-round at Your place
:-)

dianne said...

Lol, no not a Swedish chef but yes it could be a Thanksgiving turkey just the same. :D

I have read on quite a few art sites that her flower paintings are symbolic of the female reproductive organs as well as the female genitalia. ♡

I think we should meet for some "girltalk" lol.
The above description You gave is correct, indeed! But, dear dear that is not erotic, that is education! Her goal was to open peoples eyes, to make them stop, and reflect, in her own words:

"Nobody sees a flower - really - it is so small it takes time - we haven't time - and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time."

or my favourite

"When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not. "

... and now back to the "girltalk": erotic is something else. But I could agree upon that her educative paints are painted with a sensual stroke of the pen, but, we are many people out there that are sensual, and I think that might be what You meant? To explain erotic here ... I have an other idea, ask a closer person to express it ;-)

(( hug ))

Welcome back to the civilization (such as it is). As usual with words and picture with more meanings than one. If one dares to look for them.

Nice to see you posting again, interesting post but of course "you know" people can see different things in the same object. Is it me again? lol.

dianne said...

Thanks dear Anna-Lys, yes it is sensual and not erotic, I hope I know the difference, I shall Google its definition...Lol I am just pleased that I don't look anything like that flower in her painting. :(

Speaking of small flowers, I like both her quote and especially yours.♡

Happy birthday, again, both to You and Georgia O'Ḱeeffe - most say that You are more alive - but don't get caught in there!

Hi! How do you justify the label 'celebration'? What do you celebrate?

laughingwolf said...

highly erotic and suggestive, that :D

Livets undertoner är oftast väl dolda i den allmäna "information overload".

:-D

Laughingwolf
It's in the eye of the beholder ;-)

Seraphine
You are as sweet as honey, still, one of the most sharpest pencils in the blogosphere!

laughingwolf said...

you know where my eye is ;) lol

Your sharpness with the keyboard was very much liked on the halo thing!

Seems to me even if you are lost in some island, in the middle of nowhere, mumbling about cold, mist, snow, rain and God knows whay else, you keep being the nice ANNA LYS I was used too!

As for the rest, if I knew some swedish I would bragg a little bit but since I know nothing about it (ok, I know "ikea" ...), I'll say MUITO OBRIGADO!

ANNA-LYS said...

don't laugh I don't have a clue

I beg you pardon! You obviously celebrate the 122nd year since Georgia O'Keeffe was born. I did not see that at first glance. I have to read more carefully!

(I don't agree, that justification is not necessary. I believe in a judgement day, when we have to defend every syllable we have written. It is a very unpleasant phobia. D:)

Nice to hear from you again!

and how are you doing? still on the island?

talking about snow... we thought going to the Christmas market in Lisbjerg. Afterwards we would like to drive into the middle of the country, not too far away, just some wilderness where there is snow. What would you recomand?

Sälen

ANNA-LYS said...

Takk!

ANNA-LYS said...

Nope, not on the island during the working week, only on the weekends (IF I am not working then).

Do You mean Liseberg, here in Gothenburg?
I see that Tykot recommends "Sälen".
It depends on when You are planning to visit, I guess the Christmas market last about 3 months, or?
